Recover a loved one’s D3

For family members or executors who don’t have access to the original Google or email login but do have the passphrase from the printed access certificate.

How this works

Enter the deceased’s account email and the passphrase from their access certificate.
We verify the passphrase against the encryption key on file. The passphrase never leaves your browser.
On success, your browser downloads a comprehensive D3 Report (PDF) with all of the loved one’s saved information plus next-steps guidance.

Both fields are required. Take the values from the access certificate the account holder created.

Privacy note:we’ll send a security notification to the registered email when a recovery is performed, so the account owner is aware. If you suspect unauthorized access, change the passphrase from the gear menu after signing in.
