READY WHEN YOU AREN'T

About

A quiet binder, made digital.

D3 began as a three-ring binder on a kitchen table. It became an app so it could reach more families before they needed it.

Our story

After his father died, Noah Norton spent months piecing together the information his family suddenly needed: where the will was, who the lawyer was, whether the car was paid off, what the password to his father’s email was. None of it was secret. None of it was hidden. It just hadn’t been gathered.

Noah built a binder he called D3 so that when the moment came, his own family wouldn’t have to do the same archaeology. He shared it. Other families filled it out. Word spread.

The binder did its job. But paper has limits: it can’t scan a driver’s license, it can’t tell you what your state requires, and it can’t be encrypted in a way that lets you share it with one trusted person and only one trusted person.

D3 the app is the binder, brought up to date. Built in 2026 by Flagship Technologies with Noah’s blessing, it walks you through the same sections, holds the same kind of paperwork, and ends with the same deliverable: a printable PDF your loved ones can follow when the day comes. The difference is the guardrails: encryption, state-specific guidance, document scanning, and a comprehensive recovery flow.

Our purpose

D3 exists to spare your family the late-night archaeology. To turn a crisis into a checklist. To make preparation feel like care rather than fear.

We believe the work of getting your affairs in order is an act of love. It says: I see you. I’ve thought ahead for you. The hardest day of your life will be a little easier because of an afternoon I took for us.

D3 is built deliberately. We will never sell your personal information. We will never read your encrypted fields (we’ve made that technically impossible). We will never put you on a list, target an ad at you, or make money from your grief.

We charge nothing for the core experience. If we ever ask for money, it will be for premium add-ons that don’t gate the essentials, and it will be entirely optional.

Our principles

  • Plain language. No legalese, no jargon, no shame about not knowing a term. Tooltips and a glossary live wherever the words are.
  • State-aware. The rules around wills, advance directives, and probate vary by state. D3 surfaces what yourstate expects, right inside the section you’re filling out.
  • Built for older eyes. Larger fonts, high-contrast text, no jittery animations. The people who need D3 most should never have to squint.
  • Encryption that means something. Sensitive fields are encrypted on your device with a passphrase only you choose. We can’t read them. Not us, not the cloud, not anyone with a subpoena.
  • Yours to leave. Export your data any time as a JSON or printable PDF. Delete your account and it’s gone within 30 days. No lock-in.
